Current Fellow 2024/2025 Ceren Dogan

I obtained my PhD in Psychosocial Studies at Birkbeck College, London (2015), my Master’s degree in Social and Cultural Psychology at the London School of Economics and Political Science (2009), and both my Psychology Diploma (2003-2008) and B.A. degree in philosophy (2008) at the University of Bremen. After my parental leave, I held a Postdoc position at Yasar University (2017-2019) in Izmir/Turkey where I conducted qualitative research on young adolescents’ worldviews on gender inequality on the backdrop of social and political discourses under the contemporary political regime.

I am a trained psychoanalyst and psychodynamic psychotherapist affiliated with the International Psychoanalytic Association (IPA) and a member of the Committee of Women in Psychoanalysis (COWAP).  My research interests lie at the intersection of feminist studies, sociology and psychoanalysis with an empirical focus on societal and cultural dynamics.
